1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small data files stored on your device when you visit a website.

- understand how the Platform is used;

Similar technologies, such as pixels, local storage, SDKs or comparable tracking technologies, may be treated in the same way where applicable.

MercadoFC may use the following categories of cookies:
Necessary Cookies
Necessary cookies are required for the basic operation and security of MercadoFC.

Because these technologies are required to provide the website or a service specifically requested by the user, they cannot normally be disabled through our cookie consent tool.
You may still be able to block them through your browser settings, but doing so may prevent parts of MercadoFC from functioning correctly.
Analytics Cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use MercadoFC.

MercadoFC does not currently use an analytics service. If that changes, information collected through the technology may be shared with the identified analytics provider only after the required consent.
Any analytics services and cookies introduced in the future will be identified in this policy or the cookie consent interface.
Marketing Cookies
Marketing cookies and similar technologies may be used to measure and improve our advertising activities.
They may be used to:
- measure advertising campaign performance;
- identify whether a user reached MercadoFC through an advertisement;
- measure conversions;
- limit how often advertisements are shown;
- understand interactions with advertisements;
- create audiences for advertising campaigns;
- display more relevant advertising on third-party platforms, where applicable.
MercadoFC does not currently use marketing or advertising tracking technologies. If introduced in the future, they may be provided by identified third-party advertising platforms.
Where these technologies require consent, they will not be activated until you choose to accept them.
Rejecting Marketing cookies does not affect the current MercadoFC experience because no marketing service is active. Any future advertising measurement requiring consent would remain disabled.
3. First-Party and Third-Party Cookies
Cookies used on MercadoFC may be:
First-Party Cookies
Cookies placed directly by MercadoFC.
These are commonly used for:
- account sessions;
- authentication;
- security;
- Platform functionality;
- consent preferences.
Third-Party Cookies
MercadoFC does not currently load optional third-party analytics or marketing services. If such services are integrated in the future, they may cause cookies or similar technologies to be placed by their providers.
These may include providers of:
- analytics;
- advertising;
- fraud prevention;
- embedded content;
- other optional Platform functionality.
Third parties may process information according to their own privacy and cookie policies.
Where third-party cookies are non-essential, they will only be enabled after the required consent has been obtained.
4. Cookie Consent
When you first visit MercadoFC without a valid saved choice, you will be presented with a cookie consent interface.
You will be able to choose whether to allow optional cookie categories.
Where applicable, the available choices will include:
- Accept All
- Reject Non-Essential
- Manage Preferences
Necessary cookies do not require you to opt in through the cookie banner because they are used to provide essential Platform functionality.
Analytics and Marketing cookies requiring consent will remain disabled unless you choose to enable them.
5. Managing Your Preferences
You can choose which optional cookie categories MercadoFC may use.
Through Cookie Settings, you can enable or disable available optional categories such as:
- Analytics;
- Marketing.
Your choices, the date of the choice and the consent version are stored in a first-party consent cookie for 180 days so that MercadoFC can respect your preferences.
Changing your preferences will not affect processing that was lawful before the change.
6. Withdrawing Consent
Where cookies are based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
Withdrawing consent must be possible without preventing you from continuing to use the basic MercadoFC Platform.
You can withdraw or change your consent by selecting:
Cookie Settings
which will be made available through the Platform, including through an accessible link in the website footer.
From there, you can:
- review your current preferences;
- disable Analytics cookies;
- disable Marketing cookies;
- enable previously rejected optional categories;
- update your choices.
Once consent is withdrawn, MercadoFC will stop using the relevant optional cookies for future processing.
Cookies or identifiers already stored on your device may be removed where technically possible or may need to be deleted through your browser or device settings.
7. Browser Controls
Most web browsers also allow you to control cookies directly through browser settings.
Depending on your browser, you may be able to:

- delete cookies;
- block specific websites from storing cookies;
- block all cookies;
- clear browsing data automatically.
Blocking all cookies may affect essential MercadoFC functionality, including login, authentication, checkout and account features.
Browser controls operate separately from MercadoFC's own Cookie Settings.

These normally expire when you close your browser or end the relevant session.
Persistent Cookies
These remain on your device for a defined period or until they are deleted.
The retention period depends on the purpose of the particular cookie.
MercadoFC will not retain cookies longer than reasonably necessary for their stated purpose.
The current duration of individual cookies may be displayed through the cookie consent interface or cookie list where applicable.

Authentication, OAuth security, checkout and functional preference technologies remain available when optional cookies are rejected.
We will update it when material changes are made to the cookies or tracking technologies used on the Platform.
10. Payment and Security Technologies
Third-party services used for payment processing, fraud prevention or security may use cookies or similar technologies necessary to provide their services securely.
For example, payment providers may use technical information to:
- authenticate transactions;
- prevent fraud;
- detect suspicious activity;
- protect payment systems.
Where a technology is strictly necessary for payment or security functionality requested by the user, it may operate as a necessary technology.
